Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Journey
A classic crossing from the Red City to the golden dunes of the Sahara, through Berber villages and dramatic mountain passes.
This journey traces one of Morocco's most rewarding overland routes — from the palaces and souks of Marrakech, over the High Atlas passes, and down through the Dades and Todra valleys before the desert opens up at Merzouga.
Along the way, travelers stop in kasbahs, Berber villages, and the dramatic Todra Gorge, arriving at the Erg Chebbi dunes in time for a camel trek to camp at sunset.
